Saudi is now home to one of the world’s largest pilgrim gathering,   with approximately, 20 million pilgrims visit Saudi during the   Hajj   Pilgrimage.  This   apart,   which draws large number of visitors to the Kingdom, Saudi has   great landscapes, oases, mountains and beaches,  which spells out the glory and grandeur  of the  Kingdom.  There is a huge tourism potential for the region which is till left untapped.

The purpose of the proposed   web portal to is to promote tourism potential of Saudi among prospective tourists from other GCC countries and across the globe.  This portal seek to achieve those objectives in line with the overall  official vision of the kingdom for creation of sustainable tourism development with  Islamic  social values and cultural and environmental conditions in the Kingdom.

This portal is intended to provide a single point for inbound travellers to Saudi from planning to   online booking,  entirely through the portal. This will ensure that the travellers need  &n bsp;not  approach multiple providers for different services, but  will use the portal as a one stop hub to fulfil all their travel needs including their inbound and outbound travel, accommodation, food & drinks, local travel, travel tips, emergency services.

The portal also plans to establish a long term relation-ship with the users of the website by providing them facilities for giving feedback, rate the service providers, upload videos, pictures about destinations, read news letters, enter into travel contests.

The portal  is also  intended to promote and invite the Arab community to visit Saudi. With that in the plan, the site would be bilingual in Arabic and English. The project also proposes innovative location based mobile solutions which would guide the tourists throughout the e tour.

The portal will be organised in such a  way that it will cater to the simplicity of use of site, richness in content, completeness of user functionalities, a clean, professional and inviting user interface, coupled with well –organised site navigation.

The project as a whole is conceived as a convergence of latest technological advancements in Web, Mobile and Electronics.
